What a... wonderful surprise

Claire was walking the city streets. It was the weekend and she rarely left the school grounds she was assigned to. Recent events made her decide that she needed some time off. The city was huge, he would be lying if she said she wasn't lost. She had looked at some maps before going but even then she got lost. She was just trying to find a book store. But then out of the corner of her eye, she recognized someone. She turned around quickly. She didn't recognize anyone, but she knew she spotted someone. She looked around and eventually found the person she was looking for. Her old mentor, she always though of him as a father figure, but after her refusal to continue to kill sort of put a strain on there relationship. She hug Damon. "Hi! It's been such a long time! Why haven;t you been keeping up with me, there is so much I wanted to tell you."

Dämon had been walking around scouting the area as he tailed a possible mark. He noticed Claire first, but he had no-where to duck into. He sighed a little as she came up to him, he was still walking and sighed even louder as she hugged him. He kept his eyes on his target as the man went into a coffee shop. Dämon quickly took a seat outside as he watched the possible abomination, or so he saw in his eyes, "It's because I don't have a lot of time for anyone right now." He looked away for a second and then back to the man inside.

Claire released Damon from the hug, he was distracted. She followed his eyes and spotted a man in a coffee shop. She nudged him slightly, disappointed. "Really? that guy isn't even in the database, stop working for a few seconds. Are you still angry about me not being able to follow through?" asked Claire, prying for answers. She did her best to try and get his attention but when she failed she had an idea. She walked into the coffee shop, bought herself a hot chocolate, and a coffee. She sat at the same table as the man Damon was watching and passed him the coffee, ad started talking to him.

Dämon sighed, "Could you leave me alone for two damn seconds? I'm trying to follow this guy, and just because he isn't in the database doesn't mean anything and you should know this, hell I thought I taught you bett-..." He watched her as she stood up and walked inside, "You idiot." He fidgeted a bit, he hated when things didn't go according to plan, and meeting Claire during an op was not according to plan. He softly touched his wrist and spoke up, "Kain, Abel, Claire's here. Need to extract her before the special catches wind."

The twins were standing together roughly ten meters way from the entrance of the store. Both had earpieces in that resembled ear buds for an mp3 player so they wouldn't rouse any suspicions. Upon hearing Damon's go-ahead, Abel turned to his brother and nodded, allowing the more violent of the two to enter the building first after Claire. If they went in together, it could cause a little bit of trouble.

When Kain was given the opportunity to lead, a devlilish grin spread across his face. He almost allowed his long, inhuman tongue to slip through his lips but he managed to stop himself right before doing so. The deadlier twin took leave from his brother and slipped in along with the crowd, his ember eyes scanning the area for Damon's little woman. He wasn't too sure about their relationship, but that didn't matter. All he needed to do was get her away from the military man's mark. Kain wasn't very much of a thinker, so this was his chance to prove that he could do much more than kill.

Kain greeted the woman at the counter like a normal customer would and snatched a half empty coffee cup off of the table while she was busy with the next person in line. Then, as he passed by the two conversing at the table, Kain 'tripped' over his untied shoe and shot his hand out to 'balance' himself. By doing that, the coffee in the cup sprayed out and flew right in Claire's direction. Hopefully she'd have to go to the bathroom and clean herself up.

Claire had gotten into a conversation with the man, she was normally shy but she stuck it out so maybe Damon would relax and just give up on it. But soon after talking some one tripped and split coffee over her. "God dammit, I just got this blouse." said Claire annoyed. She looked at the man who spilled coffee on her. He looked slightly familiar, considering the time she had to guest he was working with Damon. Maybe he was trained by Damon too. "Ugh I got to go clean myself up be right back." Claire left for the bathroom, she would general be surprised if the man was still there when she was back.

Dämon smiled a little as he stood up slowly, "Abel, you're up. Take Claire out the back, Kain and I will be in the van." With that Dämon sprinted towards the van and hopped in starting it up, a 10ft long 11 was left behind when he slammed on the gas. He weaved in and out of cars as he tried to get to the alleyway in the back. Dämon wasn't sure how long it was going to take, but he didn't want to let have Claire a chance to escape. Now everyone's lives were at stake if the man even caught wind of the whole thing, he more than likely wouldn't, but he didn't want to take chances.

As soon as Abel spotted the woman on he way to the bathroom, he brushed past his brother and gripped a small vial filled with Kain's blood. Instead of revealing his ability through activating his own seal, Abel had already prepared a thin needle full of his unique neurotoxin. It was going to be more than enough to keep Claire from running away.

While she was distracted with going to clean herself, the second twin wedged his foot between the door and frame to keep it from closing all the way. Then he placed his hand on the lock, twisting it tightly. There was no way for her to escape him as long as he stood between her and the door,

"Sorry to intrude on you like this, ma'am. But you're going to have to come with me."

Abel's voice was cold and monotonous, matching the stoic and almost blank expression on his face. If she didn't come along quietly, he'd just have to get her to come with him the hard way, "I don't want to drag you forcefully out of here, but I will if you make this any harder than it needs to be."

Meanwhile, Kain made his way out of the door and positioned himself directly in front of the emergency exit, his own syringe of Abel's toxin primed. If Abel wasn't successful in sedating Claire or bringing her along peacefully, she would have to deal with the nastier of the two brothers,

"If this takes too long, I'm coming in, Abel. And neither of you are going to enjoy that very much..."

Claire cleaned herself in the bathroom. The door opened and a man stood on the door. "Cut the formalities, your timing is horrible. You are working with Damon. Tell me is this official business or off the books." Claire noticed something in his hand, she couldn't tell what it is. "Fine I'd prefer to avoid fighting, let's go."

Dämon stopped the van right behind the coffee shop, "Hurry up guys, I thought you'd have better timing." He reached way into the back and slid open the door and then he moved over into the passenger seat. He sat there slightly annoyed as he waited for everyone to get in the van. When the three did show up, he spoke up, "Someone else drive I need to prep my bow." As he said that he pulled just the titanium part of the bow out and started stringing it up. He then set said bow between his legs as he waited.

Abel stood silently while Claire spoke and simply shifted his eyes back to the door when she asked him about the status of what they were doing. He had no intention of telling her anything, especially when she demanded it,

"Go out through there." He said, pointing to the small window, "You'll find Kain and your friend waiting there. Be quick because I'm sure neither of them enjoy waiting very much."

With that, the 'younger' of the two twins unlocked the door and slipped out. He ensured that their target wasn't paying attention and made his way around to where Kain, Damon and, hopefully, Claire. For whatever reason, the other man wanted to keep her around. He was a little interested in the details, but he wasn't there to be friendly. It was only because he couldn't be separated from Kain.

When Damon requested that someone take the wheel, Abel nodded curtly and entered through the driver's side, "Where to?"

Claire took a seat in the van. She looked generally bored. "So Damon is this a side job or an order?" She looked at the two other men in the car. They were twins, not a very talkative duo either. "You know not everyone with powers is evil, we are task to hunter EVIL people with powers. Someone that doesn't even have a file isn't a considered a remote issue." She said this with a double meaning. At darks she had found one person she would never report. Her dorm mate Alex. Although she didn't send a report in about a strange monkey boy with his dream to be a god among men.

Dämon laughed a little, "It's all on the books, you know that. And you more than anyone should know the real goal. God damn you were my best pupil and somehow you come out as a sympathizer. You disappointed me when I had to put that one down. Kain and Abel here though, god damn they'd kill me if ordered. Damn proud of them." He laughed again, "Head to the ruins."

Before shifting into gear, Abel looked in the rear-view and did a quick headcount. Since he couldn't see Kain, he placed a finger to his earpiece and spoke quietly, "Kain..." And not a second too late, his brother pulled the back doors to the van open before jumping in. He wasn't too familiar with the female yet, so his long prehensile tongue slipped through his lips and in her direction. The forked appendage wafted in the air for a quick moment before it snapped back into his mouth. The older twin's smile began to spread across his face as he surveyed the woman, taking in small bits of information with his eyes, "Don't mind me, girl. I'm just getting familiar with your scent... Wouldn't want to hurt you if I couldn't rely on sight, you know?" A small chuckle escaped his lips and he leaned back in his seat, propping his feet on Abel's headrest.

The sudden intrusion of his space wasn't very welcome, and Abel showed his displeasure with an amber glare aimed at his twin. He had half a mind to teach him a lesson, but when it came to a fistfight; Kain's wild and unpredictable style was in stark contrast to his own calculated and precise method of attack. And with Kain being the physically stronger of the two, Abel would most likely lose, "The ruins..." His mind briefly flashed back to when Project Gemini met their predecessor and his friend... The both of them seemed to be weaker than he suspected. Then again, H20 was injured.

With that, Abel shifted gears and took off in the direction of their destination.

"I'm not a sympathizer. Unlike you, I go in an get to know the targets, even if i don't talk to them. I know who is a threat." Claire's main purpose now was to observe now the she refused to kill. She would identify possible threats. She looked at the twins, one of them shooting a forked like tongue out. "Don't bother, you once my power is up you won't be able to." said Claire. She racked her mind about who they were, she only skimmed over the files on her allies. "You guys use poisons right? Be careful when your around me." She wasn't going to go into details, she didn't feel like it. One of the twins drove to the ruins. "So Dad, why are we going to the ruins?" Damon wasn't really her father, he was the closest thing to it when her real parents died. She did for a while call him Dad, but after she refused to kill the relationship was strained to the point were it sounded more like an insult than a term of endearment.

Dämon fidgeted a little, he was extremely restless as of late. He wasn't going to let Claire see it, but he knew she'd eventually notice. He sat there listening to her ramble on, "First of all, nobody cares about the files, or the database anymore. Things have changed. We attack any meta-humans on site once we figure out their power." He fidgeted a little more, since he quit smoking he just didn't know what to do with his hands. He ran his fingers trough his hair, "It's out of the way, and not very many people go there."

Kain's smile seemed to widen when Claire gave him her little 'warning'. Being a berserker, the older twin would only be able to tell friend from foe if he was able to lock onto their scent. Take that away, and he won't be able to tell the difference, "You should follow your own advice, girl." He said before leaning in his seat once again, "There are plenty of things that I'm sure you don't know. After all, there are only four people that know everything about us. One is missing, the second is dead and the last two are Abel and I."

When Kain finished his little speech, Abel decided to add a bit of information, "And no, we don't use poison." After that, he listened to what Damon had to say and decided to inquire, "And when we're the only three left with an ability... Do you plan on trying to kill us, too?

"Maybe, but not right off the bat, I might just disappear for a bit." said Claire. "Maybe attempt a normal life somewhere and if that fails might go ahead and finish the job." An empty threat. She had become conflicted on the subject after being placed at darks. She met a few peope there should wouldn't mind protecting. "By the way at darks only one person there even considered using there powers to rule, the kid was cocky and didn't understand the simplest of concepts. I'll send a file later, he disappeared recently." She paused for a moment. "Speaking of which the disappearance of people has grown, the school hasn't realized that it is only people with powers, so you are still targeting nobodies, people we should ignore. Might want to be more careful, it's only a matter of time till you attack someone related to the school, then they will start to caught on and connect dots." She watched Damon figdet with his hands. "Why not smoke, you always used to smoke while we trained, for awhile you made be carry around a pack of cigarettes."

Dämon eyed Abel for a few seconds, "That's not my call, but if it does come to pass I will not be the one to 'pull the trigger'." He chuckled a little, "You're talking about...Genma, the monkey boy. We know about him. We know quite a bit about the students at Darks. One I am extremely interested in, is an..." He grabs a file from the middle glove box, "Alex Estrella. Her power intrigues me. As does a Togi...Banashi. I mean, our group could -always- use a medic." He looked back at Claire, "Let them catch on, it's not like we're the only group doing this in the world. Hell, we're not even the first. My trainer wasn't even one of the first. And no, I quit smoking."

When Claire mentioned students, Kain leaned foreword in his seat and rested his elbows on his thighs, "Actually, Abel and I have a primary objective when it comes to that school. Only two people there know what we really are, and it doesn't matter if they end up dead or captured. As long as the two of us get what we want, I have no qualms about what's done with them after that."

By the time Kain finished speaking, the group had arrived at their destination. Abel parked the vehicle when save and turned to face the others, "But I'd prefer to capture them alive. After all, it's what I'm meant for. I capture and he kills." Then the younger twin thought about Damon's words about what would be done with them after all of this was over, "But, whatever happens, neither of us will go down very easily."

Alex... She was hoping they would of just left her alone as someone who wasn't a threat. Claire hid it well but she was worried. She tried her best to keep her out Alex of the spot light, but if she could get her to join the chance of Alex making it out alive was higher. "A-Alex?" said Claire, not able to hide a slight crack in her voice. "She's harmless... but she could be helpful for distraction reasons, I would never put her in actual combat. And as for the nurse, good luck with that. She is just as likely to stab you as she is to heal her. I don't normally go to the nurses office so other then that I don't know much about her. However the chance to live is enough for some people is enough to get them to join us." Claire pulled out a pack of ciggerettes and a lighter and look at them. "So I've been carrying these around for no reason." She threw the pack and lighter to Kain. "Congratulations you're now the group smoker."

The vehicle stopped. Abel turned around and gave a bit more into his and his brothers powers. "No one is this group will, even if my job is to even the field. Most people learn to fight with their powers, once they lose the powers most people run around with the heads cut off so to speak." Claire looked at Kain. "Since you're the killer of the two I'm guessing you're more psychically strong. So either you or your brother has the power to track people, My guess would be you cause of the freaking tongue action earlier." She turned to Damon. "By the way, what are we going here, you haven't told me yet."

Dämon stepped out of the van as he flipped on the flashlight positioned on his shoulder, "Like I said, it's out of the way. And, I need to speak with someone." He entered into the maze of the ruins without a second thought. He looked back at the three and then looked forward as he took a left, right, straight for a little while and then walked into what was left of a door way. In the middle of the floor was a staircase that lead down into darkness. He scratched his head and sighed, "Well, I've walked into worse things." And with that he descended the worn staircase.

Shortly after Damon stepped from the vehicle, Kain and Abel followed suit. The first to exit was the older brother who pushed open the back doors and hopped out, stretching his limbs. He wasn't the kind that enjoyed sitting in a vehicle for long periods of time, and as the ride went on he grew more agitated by the second,

"Who the hell is this 'someone' you need to speak to anyway? That cryptic shit doesn't sit too well."

Although Kain could have phrased his feelings in a better way, Abel couldn't disagree. He exited the vehicle shortly after his brother and walked to his side, staring intently at the entrance, "Even though he isn't very eloquent, I have to agree with him. It would be nice to know what's going on. It's not that I mistrust you, but if either of us are killed; the other will follow suit shortly after. It was a form of 'failsafe' added to us before our birth."

Abel wasn't aware of the details, but he had a feeling that their failsafe was mechanical and not biological. After all, it operated based on proximity. If it were to be removed, the both of them would be able to act independent of each-other. Then again, Kain needed his brother to keep him grounded and out of too much trouble. He wasn't exactly the brightest bulb.
