First Day At The University

It was 12:43 pm at the moment, and yet Faith continues to fail at finding the correct classroom which she had to attend to 43 minutes ago. A sigh soon leaves her lips as she finally gives up, leaning her back against the cool wall, supporting her body from falling to the ground. "I don't understand how I failed at completing such a simple task..." She whispers with her song like voice, rubbing her cheeks lightly with the palm of her hands. "Maybe I misheard that lady's instruction..." Frustrated with herself, she closes her eyes tightly and released a heavy groan, which actually echos through out the empty hallway of the university. [Great, now people are going to assume an odd werewolf creature is explore their university with an empty stomach.]

Despite the anger Faith felt towards herself at the moment, she just pushes herself off the wall and continues to walk down the hallway, which began to remind her of a ghost town. "Have I arrived too early?" She quickly asks herself, fearing that she was the only student roaming around this building at the moment. She continues to think this over until she heard a small scream echo through out the halls, much like how her groan echoed before. "What's going on...?" was Faith's first reaction to the scream, but she quickly shook off the shock and zooms down the hallway in the matter of seconds, turning right at the corner just to see...

Dylan glanced at the clock mounted on the wall, just a few more minutes and class would be over, then he could finally grab some lunch. He didn't know why he chose to learn literature of all things, probably because he thought it would've been easy. Well Dylan was right, he just didn't expect the class to be so damned boring!

The black haired boy exited the classroom a few minutes later, mingling with his classmates as he made his way across the corridors of the school when a loud groan suddenly echoed through out the hallways. One of the students he had been walking with screamed, it echoed loudly in the large hallway.

"Let's split up and find out what that was." Dylan suggested, walking forward and turning round a corner, only to pause when he saw a grey haired girl that stood around the same height as him.

Her thin pink lips curls into a smile once she spots a black haired boy, who happened to be the same height as her, standing right in front of her. "At last, another human being other than myself!" Faith cheers happily, bowing after her little cheer. "I'm Faith L. Foster. And who may you be?" Her voice wasn't joyful, yet it wasn't cold as well. It was sort of proper; formal as some people may say. As spoke, her eyes seemed to glimmer under the light as well, giving her an enchanting look.

At the moment her headphones weren't blaring classical music like they usually do, so she could actually hear anything around her, but most of the time all sounds were muffled. "Oh, and I apologize for that groan you may or may no have heard a few seconds ago. I was just frustrated."

Dylan looked at the grey haired girl with a raised eyebrow, "I'm Dylan Reid, nice to meet you. I haven't seen you before, are you a new student around here?" Dylan asked, his tone was polite but was laced with an underlying curiosity.

She probably is. Dylan thought, looking at the grey haired girl more carefully. She's named Faith, he reminded himself. If he had to guess, Faith had probably gotten lost in the hallways while she was looking for her classroom. Too late now, classes are already over. Dylan thought, slightly amused at the image of someone getting lost in the hallways.

Daisya strode through the halls on her way to her next class, the small heels of her shoes clicked along the floor as she went. She clutched a thick book to her side in the crook of her elbow as she went, her empty arm swayed along with her brisk pace. The ends of her dress curled and flowed behind her lengthy strides, brushing against the backs of her thin knees. She was in such a rush to make it to get to her lunch that she took no precautions as she rounded a corner, stopping just in time to avoid a head-on collision with another student.

"My apologies!" she exclaimed, bowing her head some to the indifferent student as they weaved past her.

With a sigh she turned back to her course, stopping only when she noticed a couple of students talking amongst themselves. As she approached she heard mention of that groan that had echoed through the halls. There was a girl with grey hair and a boy with black hair, both slightly taller than Daisya herself. She heard the guy ask the other girl if she was a new student. It's a valid question, she thought, standing along the wall of the hall to keep out of the way of passing students. I don't recall seeing this girl before.

But then, who was she to talk? Daisya was relatively new to the school as well and hadn't the time trying to keep up with her studies to bother conversing with other students. Not that she minded, she'd probably find a way to offend them through misunderstandings. She decided to stay along the wall, observing the two. She didn't want to seem creepy, but was simply curious about the two and wanted to make sure they were both kind before she approached them. Well, that was the hope anyways.

Faith lets a sigh escape her lips as she nods with a frown. "Sadly I got lost and missed my class..." Her eyes seem to turn a bit dull and depressed she she says this. She then gazes over at her shoes, feeling ashamed to say such an embarrassing like that. "It seems like I need the assistance from a fellow sophomore that attends this school, so if you are a sophomore, or if you know of one, please inform me so I can be directed to where the classes are." After she finishes speaking, she pushes a strain of her grey hair away from her eyes, allowing the boy to see her chocolate brown eyes. "Anyways, is it already lunch time, or is another class is about to be in session?"

Suddenly, in the corner of her eyes, she spots a slightly smaller girl spying on Dylan and her. This made a smile appear on her face once again, and it even made a chuckle leave her lips as well. She was about to say something about it, but she wanted the little spy to come and introduce herself inside of Faith going over and asking question. Besides, she had question that needed to be answered by this boy, and these questions couldn't wait.

Ethan was on edge after he heard the howl from before. His black and white Chuck Taylors making squeaking noises on the marble tile in the floor as he stepped. His hands were stuck into the pockets of his jeans as he pretty much stared at the floor with his deep grey eyes. His eyes drifted upwards to a group of students who he used to converse with before his foray into the ruins of the old city. Ethan came out of there a completely different person, most wouldn't know why. Nor would he tell.

His shoes continued to squeak as he walked through the hall before stopping at his locker placing his textbooks into said locker. The boy's grey eyes drifted up to Dylan and the boy smirked, he hadn't really had a chance to talk to him since they both came out of the ruins. The seals on the back of his hands glowed, faded, and then returned as he looked at them. This brought on a sigh from the boy as he decided to walk over to the group of two and spoke, "Hello Dylan...and I do not believe I've had the chance to make your acquaintance. I am Ethan Browne, a Sophomore here at Darks." His eyes shifted to Faith as he spoke the second part of the sentence.

Dylan hid his smirk and stifled his laughter, didn't want to come off as an asshole to the new student after all. "Yeah, I'm a sophomore here. It's lunch time now, I could bring you to the cafeteria if you want." Dylan offered. Then Faith chuckled and Dylan noticed her looking out of the corner of her eyes. He followed her gaze and found himself looking at a dark haired girl that was slightly shorter than him.

Then the sound of squeaking shoes drew Dylan's attention, he looked up and saw his long time... rival? Or was Ethan considered a friend now? The flame manipulator had changed since their trip to the ruins and Dylan didn't know what to make of it, on one hand, he wasn't hanging out with his irritating old friends and didn't bother him much anymore, on the other, he just seemed weird sometimes. "Hello to you too. This is Faith, she's a new student." Dylan replied, deciding to think about it later, it wasn't as if Ethan had become a dangerous pyromaniac that burnt everything in his way after all.

Daisya twitched, her cheeks glowing red for a moment when she saw the two look her way but they made no movement to approach her - much to her relief. Instead another boy showed up making their group a trio. She heard names, names she could now put the faces to. Faith was the grey haired girl, Dylan was the black haired on that was talking with Faith, and the new comer was Ethan Browne. She hoped she wouldn't forget their names as she continued to watch them.

She only just realized how impolite she must seem to them: watching and observing without introductions, learning their names through other means aside from direct communication. She shifted on her feet, grabbing her book with both hands and scanned the cover. It was an ordinary textbook she was going to read over lunch break, but ended up here against a wall, eavesdropping. Her parents would be disappointed in her, but who was she to blame for her shyness? It has been a while since she openly greeted strangers with a smile, but then, she wanted to make sure she doesn't overstep any lines and end up beaten on the ground again.

She agreed to observe the trio longer, to ensure they exhibit no violent behavior.

Faith frowns when she notices that the small girl observing them isn't going to come over and introduce herself. Fine, be like that I suppose. She thought before turning to the new face, bowing slightly at him. "Like what he said, I'm Faith L. Foster, it's a pleasure to meet you both. I'm a sophomore here as well. Now that we know each others name, may I ask that one of you please direct me to the lunchroom before I die from starvation." Faith actually chuckles a bit as she spoke, smiling politely at the both of them. To her, they both seemed like polite students, but then again this is their first meeting.

At the moment though, her mind was filled with thoughts about food as she stomach grumbles softly. The last thing she ate was a piece of bread at 5:05 am, and the bread didn't even had her favorite jam. It was just plain wholewheat bread. Faith then tugs lightly on her skirt, flatting it down a bit so it didn't seem like she was some type of slut just because she was wearing a short skirt and tights. As she did this, she continues to gaze over that the small girl once more, curious about her.

Ethan turned his gaze towards Daisya, smiling and waving before he turns back to the group, "Food, food. I'm thinking I want food." The boy smirked as he continued to talk with the two in front of him. His hands fidgeting a little still. Mostly they were just twitching in his jeans pocket. When he finally stopped his hands fidgeting he looked up and just smiled, "Well, I guess we should head to the cafeteria then? This place has amazing food. I used to know a Student who graduated just after I got here who would swear by the food here. He was pretty different, always wore suits and had this long red hair. Nicest guy, just different. Always ran around with this midget with a scythe." He looked over at Daisya and spoke up, "You're welcome to join us if you want!"

Dylan followed his companions' gazes and saw the unknown dark haired girl again, odd that she hadn't come over to say something yet, if she was going to hang around, was she some sort of stalker? He dismissed the thought a second later and refocused his attention on the conversation, Faith was a sophomore as well, even if it was her first year in Darks and Ethan knew a weird redheaded guy that hung out with a scythe wielding midget.

"Huh, I haven't seen any guys like that before, you'd think I'd have noticed people as distinctive as them in all the time I've been here." Dylan commented. They weren't going anywhere fast, so he decided to take some initiative. "Come on, let's go to the cafeteria, I wanna get there before all the seats get taken." Dylan said, beginning to walk towards the cafeteria.

Daisya stepped away from the wall and towards the group in a flustered manner with red cheeks from embarrassment. "I-I'm sorry," she stammered after opening and closing her mouth trying to think of what to say. "I didn't mean to act so rude."

She gave and apologetic smile, pressing the book to her chest. Bowing her head slightly she introduced herself, "My name is Daisya and I would love to join you all for lunch. B-But if you don't want me to join you due to how I was acting I completely understand!"

Faith nods at both Dylan and Ethan's suggestion to go and eat, hearing her stomach rumble once more. "I would absolutely love to part take in a meal with you two." After saying this, she hears the soft voice of the girl who was watching them before, apologizing for watching. "It's fine, you may join us if you want to." She smiles a bright smile as she spoke to the girl, trying to seem friendly. It wasn't  that isn't nice, it was just her voice can sound a bit harsh and cold at time. "As you probably heard,I'm Faith L. Foster, and who may you be?" Her curiosity grew about these friends. What are their powers?  Are they truly nice, or are they going to chop of her head when she turns around? This was one of the down sides of going to a school full of kids with special abilities; you never know if someone is just acting good.

(Sorry for not posting, my weekend was reeeeeeeeally busy.)

Ethan eyed the girl who joined them, "Nah, we all want you to come along." His hands moved back into his pockets after he had finished speaking to Daisya. His eyes shifting to Dylan as he spoke, "Yeah, his power was being able to hardened his skin, and then he had these brass knuckles that transformed into claws with his power. It was pretty cool actually. Interesting guy. I think he's running some sort of company now." His eyes then drifting to Faith after she finished talked, "The cafeteria here is ran more like a restaurant than a normal school cafeteria. This place has wait staff, and the food is comparable to a five star restaurant. It's really nice."

Dylan stopped and turned around at the sound of a new voice, it was that odd girl that was staring at them earlier, her cheeks were red and she was acting rather flustered. Dylan found it to be quite an amusing sight and he chuckled slightly after the girl was done introducing herself. "I don't mind you joining us." Dylan said with a careless shrug, as if he didn't think much about the idea.

Ethan's words caught his attention again and Dylan snorted, "Guess the guy was thinking about Wolverine when he got those brass knuckles. It would have been pretty interesting if he was still student here, he'd probably be a good sparring partner, wouldn't have to worry about hurting him too much with the hardened skin and all."

Daisya listened in to the conversation, the boys apparently knew plenty of previous attendants of the school. It was fascinating to hear about previous students, but what she was more interested in was the food. "Like a five star restaurant? Really?" she was curious and anxious to try the food, hoping that it'd be as high quality as Ethan made it out to be.

((welp... short post...))

"Can we please move this along to the cafeteria please?" She asks the group of her newly found friends, trying to keep her smile despite the fact that she was about to die from hunger . She haven't eaten anything for hours, so the hunger was getting to her. "I do enjoy your wonder conversation, but sadly I'm hungry enough to consider swallowing my own shoe at the moment." Her smile began to slowly disappear, and she was even at the point of ditching them for food, even if it's mean.

Ethan smirked as the two girls spoke, "Yes, the food is pretty damn good here, and it's free. That's the best part." he started to make his way towards the cafeteria, down the stairs of the main building onto the ground floor. Which is where the cafeteria is, he'd make his way to the double doors of the cafeteria and would walk inside. Inside the cafeteria wasn't your normal cafeteria, it looked way more like a restaurant, it looked like a five star restaurant. Well, except the students. None of the students were dressed up, most in their normal street clothes. (Sorry about the long wait. I've been busy as fuck.)

Dylan chuckled at the two girls, they made it so obvious that they were completely new to the school. He heard Ethan make a comment about the free food, "That's definitely the best part." Dylan agreed. After a short while, the double doors of the ridiculously high class cafeteria came into view and Ethan walked in first. Following in behind the pyromancer, Dylan looked around the restaurant-like cafeteria for empty tables, they weren't too late yet at least, the cafeteria wasn't packed like sardines and there were a couple of empty tables here and there.

"Let's sit over there." Dylan said, pointing at a rectangular table placed at a window that had four seats, then he quickly walked to claim the table.

Daisya looked around the room in awe as she followed the group to a table. She took a seat at the end, away from the window. Her hands were clasped together on her lap after she fixed the skirt of her dress so that it wouldn't wrinkle or fold over as she sat. She continued to gape at the cafeteria, unbelievably amazed.
"I can't believe a school could have such an amazing cafeteria!" she marveled with a smile

As the group enters the restaurant, Faith smiles, happy to see such amazing architecture in a building. Her smiles then fades as she looks around some more, noticing how she was overdressed. Everyone was wearing shorts, jeans, cargo pants, with some kind of shirt while the fancy Faith was wearing a formal black dress. She just sighs and lets it go though. "It's fine I suppose." Her attention then moves over to the table they were sitting at, which was perfectly position. Since the other 3 took 3 out of the four seats, she just sat down in the only empty seat. "This place is just spectacular." Was the only thing she could say about this wonderful place. "The food is certainly going to be amazing!" The twinkle in her eye sparkles beautifully as she said this with an excited voice, trying to make the males, who were use to this place already, as happy as them.

Ethan smiled as he sat down at the table, waiting for everyone else to sit down as well, "This place has some amazing food, I'm surprised you didn't mention any of this, Dylan." Ethan sitting in his spot he spoke up again, "This place has pretty much amazing everything. It's kinda awesome. Hate to be the guy who pays for all of this, but still nice for it to be here." He decided to play around with his fire a little in a non-threatening way as they waited for their waiter to appear. He made it dance on his fingers tips. And even shaped it into a person and had it walk across his hand and up his arm. Ethan was rather good at these violent outbursts with his power, but as of late he had been working on the precision and finesse end of his power. Making it do things that pushed his power.

Dylan smiled at his two female companions' reactions, new people were always amazed the first time they entered the cafeteria. He noticed Faith's smile fade after she looked around more, did something happen? It turned out that he didn't need to worry, Faith went back to gushing about the cafeteria after a short while. "I didn't have the time, barely got in a couple of sentences to Faith before you joined us, Ethan." Dylan replied to the pyromaniac.

Dylan noticed the air heating up, he looked at Ethan, about to tell the pyromaniac to knock it off when he froze at the sight in front of him. Ethan was never that good at manipulating his flames, Dylan thought, He's been practicing I guess. Still, Ethan was never that interested in finesse in the past, maybe their little excursion to the ruins had done some good. "So what do you guys want to eat?" Dylan said, focusing his attention on the two girls.

Daisya watched Ethan play with some fire, it fascinated her how well he could control the flames. She began to wonder if she would ever be able to have pinpoint control of her own powers, without the recoil. She almost didn't notice Dylan ask what they wanted to eat and it caused her to stammer. "O-oh, uhm, I would really like some rice pudding now that I think about it. It has been a while since I have last had some and I most certainly would like some now."
