A Lonely Wander Empty A Lonely Wander

Eliza walked through the sun-streaked park almost in a daze. Luckily the dead seemed to dislike the bright sunshine and this gave Eliza some much needed peace and quiet. She had thrown herself into her studies recently, and worked with the dead alongside to help as many of them as she could, but she still enjoyed the calm of her own company.
Busy as she had been of late, she couldn't help but think of home and wonder what might have happened if she had stayed with her mother. Was it wrong of her to leave? Selfish, even? Perhaps it had been, but Eliza knew that that monster of a man that had been her Father would have killed her mother anyway - she was far too weak to have lived for much longer. Eliza had simply sped up the process a little. Heartless as it sounded, it was the only way she found she could deal with her loss and with the guilt and responsibility she felt in causing it.
That day, Eliza wore a small white dress. Her legs were tanned from the summer sun and from spending so much time outside working and her hair was darker than usual, making her look somewhat like the perfection of a ghost herself. She tilted her head up so that the sun's rays fell on her face and smiled. It was nice to feel the warmth on her skin and to relax and enjoy her time alone. Despite the few people that were also out in the courtyard it still seemed peaceful somehow.
She carried on walking, pausing only to gently touch a small flower she found growing at her feet. She did not pick it - for that would have surely killed the plant. Instead, she admired it's beauty and stopped to gaze at it for a long while. It was pink, with white tips on the petals and a striking yellow center. The green of the stalk seemed strangely brighter than that of the surrounding plant life and for a moment Eliza wondered if it were put here by some form of magic.
Eliza wandered through the courtyard contentedly and twirled, letting the sun bounce off her hair and skin, making the dress look like it was glowing. She was happy and content, and for her that was a welcome change to the boring monotony her life had taken on.

A Lonely Wander Empty Re: A Lonely Wander

(Hope you don't mind if I join you)

The Gemini Brothers were usually together around the school but, for now, they needed to be separated. As long as their seals were inactive, the failsafes implanted in them wouldn't fire off. It was good since they couldn't stay together for too long without being watched or noticed by other students. And since they were still on school grounds, they wouldn't have to worry about being ambushed by their previous victims. The two were more than capable of protecting themselves without the seal, but their enhanced physical traits were no doubt weakened when it wasn't active.

While Kain was forced to attend his classes for the day, Abel had finished all of the work necessary for enjoying a bit of time to himself. Then again, he couldn't help but be plagued by thoughts concerning their mission. Not only did they need to return H2O, but they would need to do their best to kill or capture any other students that found out what their purpose was. From what he could tell, there were two; H2O and his female companion. But if they managed to spread the message around, it would prove difficult to maneuver without being spotted and disposed of. He wouldn't blame them for wanting to kill the twins since they were created for the sole purpose of retrieving subjects dead or alive.

Abel sighed deeply as his amber eyes shifted around the courtyard. He brushed the hair covering his eye away so he could get a better look, but nothing caught his attention, "Kain better not get himself into any trouble." He muttered. His brother had a knack for initiating less than desirable social interactions, but he knew that Kain wasn't stupid enough to activate his seal without knowing where Abel was. He could end up killing himself if he did so.

Eliza continued to walk, her long legs moving with elegance. She caught the eye of a young man and winked cheekily before turning away and walking in the opposite direction. Of course, he was attractive, but Eliza was difficult to please and she did not simply throw herself at boys, despite her beauty. The strange thing was, that Eliza knew she possessed such a beauty, and often used it to her advantage. It was rare that she didn't have a guy chasing after her and she often made the most of that time to stop the mischief she so often played and enjoy some alone time. This was one of those days, but Eliza still could not help but catch the eye of staring boys every now and then. Call her cruel, but it was her nature and she was a red-blooded woman - she enjoyed her fun - probably more than it was worth.

Eliza walked through the courtyard and turned to her left to continue round. Lifting her gaze from her feet she caught the young man's eye, frowning slightly as he muttered to himself. She smiled a small smile and took a deep breath, heading over to him.

"Did you know, talking to yourself is the first sign of madness?" She grinned and lifted her hand to be shaken. "I'm Eliza. Now, why haven't I seen you around before?" She smiled softly, her eyes alight with amusement and friendship. Sure, the girl was cruel and mischievous, but she could make friends.

Abel shifted his gaze upward to the girl who stood before him. She took no time in introducing herself and questioned him about thinking aloud. The one bit of hair that covered his eye slipped back into place and instead of reaching up to push it away, he took the hand offered to him. Despite his lack of experience in social situations, he knew enough to keep himself from coming off as rude, "Thinking aloud by itself isn't a sign of anything, really. A person should only seek a mental evaluation when they begin answering their own questions." Once finished he drew his hand back and put it back at his side, "But it's a pleasure to meet you, Eliza. My name is Abel. My brother and I are fairly new here, so that may be why you haven't seen us around. I'm glad you met me before you did him... He isn't 'all there' at the moment."

Eliza laughed at Abel's comment, her musical laughter ringing out and mingling with the birdsong within the courtyard. She smiled up at him and motioned that they should walk together. She walked slowly, her hands clasped behind her back, for a long moment before speaking.

"So tell me, what brought you here? You stick out like a sore thumb." Eliza grinned up at him and gave him an almost flirtatious wink. Her statement was obviously a joke and not intended to cause harm, but it was true. Eliza had noticed him for a reason, and he just didn't fit in her eyes.

Abel nodded when Eliza requested that he should stand and walk with her. It was nice to engage in a bit of conversation without having to worry about getting into a fight. With the twins being outside of their normal range, he wouldn't be able to act at maximum capacity if something were to happen. Then again, he shouldn't need to worry about that, "What brought me here?" He reiterated for confirmation, "Well..." Abel thought for a quick second and said, "This is a school for the 'gifted', correct? My brother and I wouldn't fit very well in a normal high school or college at all. Just looking at us, people can tell that we're not like them. The fangs we possess don't help." He smiled slightly to show Eliza what he was talking about, "We've been called 'vampires' a couple of times, but I'd say we're more similar to snakes."

Abel didn't plan on going into great detail about what they could do since it wouldn't be very appropriate for the peaceful environment. Brandishing of abilities usually lead to a fight and without Kain, his ability would kill, "But I suppose you're right about how much I stick out."
