Grades ?

Vashy waited patiently. Well somewhat patiently for her teacher to be ready. She was told to come to the room after hours about a meeting. The young girl chewed on her lip. One arm wrapped around herself,  obsuring the rabit print on her aqua shirt. Her hand holding the oposing elbow. One finger wrapped around the edges of her navy blue skirt. Twirling it nervously. It had been a very tough time adjusting to normal shook life. Well what was perceived by most as normal. She supposed. She stared at the ground.
What if she gets mad. Those thoughts lingered. She really wanted to make the woman happy. All things concidered she did well to even get this far. Why did it have to be so hard....

The hallway was so quiet at this time. She could hardly believe it was the same place. At least it would be hard to miss her. Maybe i got the time wrong. Though only afew aeconds past it felt like an eternity while she was trapped in her own mind.  Time ticking by... she just wanted it over.

The world slowly drifted back from its place so far away. She must've been dreaming. Something strange about a lighter and... tragedy? None of it seemed right. Togi lifted her lithe hands and wiped the sleep from her eyes. How long had she slept? Her bed had been much more magnetic lately, ever since she stopped waking up next to somebody else. It was for the greater good, though. She had to remind herself that. After a soft yawn and a stretch, the woman turned to look at her clock. She blinked slowly.

She was gonna be late.

Quickly, Togi rolled off the bed and disrobed before rushing to the bathroom to assess her image. It was not looking great. Her long hair was frizzy and tangled, and her eyes were decorated by rather large, purplish bags... though that was pretty normal. In compromise, she simply grabbed the hairbrush and left the small room, before making a quick trip to her dressers to collect a decent enough outfit of a black dress and leggings and her large black boots. She also took a moment to grab a lab coat from her closet, thinking it might add a professional-enough touch. Togi knew that her reputation among the other staff wasn't the best, but she wanted to at least look decent while representing her child.

Brush in hand, feet in boots, Togi finally started to rush out of the infirmary, a constant look of pain on her face as she tried her best to work out any knots and smooth her hair to the best of her abilities. If they had just scheduled this a couple minutes later, she would've been perfectly on time... then again, she probably would've ended up sleeping later. Woe is the nature of the world.

The winded Togi finally climbed her way up the stairs to the second floor, gasping for air as she rounded the corner down the hallway. She wouldn't make it... but seeing that little head of black hair filled her with inspiration and she managed to push through and close the last couple meters to waiting chairs outside before coolly collapsing into the one beside Vashy. "Hi... Hi there, sweetie. Good to see you're on time." The blonde smiled wide, still gasping for air. She lifted an arm and wrapped it around the girl's shoulders in a half-hug. It felt good to touch her again.

The self musing seemed to come to a halt. As she heard gasping breaths. A quick glance towards the sound,  it was the woman. Vashy couldn't help but smile when her eyes landed on Togi. It had been quiet some time since the two had seen each other. She didnt know what to say.  All her nerves seemed to wash away for a moment,  she forgot why they where even there.  The woman effortlessly sat down next to her. There was such warmth in her voice. Vashy's smile grew when she heard the womans voice. Her fingers stopped playing with her skirt.

That simple touch. As soon as the arm enveloped her ,  her body awash with memories. Security,  compassion. Hope. These things she missed so much. So easily,  she tilted her head to the side. Nuzzling into the womans shoulder subconciously. A half hazard mumble left her. "Yeah". She really didnt know what to say right now. Her mind was to busy trying to process everything. Why did the woman have such an effect on her... or more importantly why couldn't she do this for herself. Life shouldn't  be this complicated. Maybe she just made it that way. Her eyes flickered for a moment to the door and then the floor again. Why was the teacher late. And with that her smile faded.

Warmth pressed into her shoulder and she could feel a breath pulling itself into her lungs slowly. This was nice. This was good. This was what was missing from her life these past couple years. Vashy didn't have much to say, but Togi didn't mind. Just having the girl here, in her arms, was wonderful. Beyond wonderful, even. This was all she needed.

The deep breath slowly fled from her lungs and her body started to move on its own. Her other arm wrapped around the girl and squeezed her tight. Togi lowered her head and gently pressing a kiss to the girl's head before she softly whispered. "I've missed you so much." Her hands gently stroked up and down the girl's back as she closed her eyes and relaxed. The stress nearly melted from her body and time paused. If this moment could just stay forever, she would be happy. She could live forever off of this feeling. Hopefully it would never end--

"Banashi?" The low, gruff tone that practically described a life of grumping around broke through the moment, tearing Togi's eyes wide open before she turned her head to meet the man's gaze. "Yes, Miss Banashi. It is great to have you here, I am Professor Grubian, Vashy's homeroom. We have a lot to talk about. Come in and we can begin." What a way to ruin a moment. She wasn't even completely sure what this meeting was about, but his tone wasn't the best. Maybe that was just how he talked.

The man was rather portly, barely fitting into his vibrantly-colored Hawaiian-esque button-up. He bore a thick grey mustache and an equally grey combover that looked like way more effort than it was worth. He seemed like... a history teacher. Maybe English. Togi wasn't really sure, though she probably should have looked into her daughter's instructors. As the man turned and stumbled back into the classroom, Togi returned her attention to Vashy and took one more moment to stare down at the girl, taking in her image. "Are you ready, my dear?" It sucked that they had to end their reunion so soon, but perhaps they could spend a little time afterwards to catch up.

Vashy felt the womans other arm wrap around her and now she was in a tight hug. The womans words and warm embrace snapped her out of her thoughts. A soft flush formed on her cheeks.  "I missed you too mama... " her voice was hushed as she nuzzled into the womans shoulder. Her body completey relaxed into the womans touch. Enveloped by the womans warmth she couldn't help but give a small sigh of relief.

The womans hands where tracing along her back. She really did miss this feeling. The moment didnt last long before reality decided to hit hard. The voice cutting through their exchange. Vashy's eyes darted to her teacher. His voice seemed more serious then normal. Or maybe she was overreacting. Biting her bottom lip as he seemed to address Togi. Well... its starting at least.

Vashy took a deep breath. Puffing her chest out as if trying to brace herself. Really she was alittle more then apprehensive about this interview. "Mhmm." The corners of her mouth shooting up quicky. Putting on the best smile she could. "I'm ready mama",  those eyes. She couldn't help but feel eased when she stared into the womans eyes. She just knew she could trust that everything would be ok. A genuine smile formed. " always when i am with you. " she giggled and wrapped her arms tightly around Togi before hoping out of her seat. She really shouldn't keep the teacher waiting much longer. Instinctively she held her hand out to the woman. She still held some of her childish behaviours... even if she did try not to be a burdon anymore.

The girl's words warmed her heart. It felt so nice to be called mama. To be loved and cared for and held. It was something special. They would definitely need to spend some time together after whatever this meeting was. Togi simply wouldn't be satisfied otherwise. She stood up and stretched her arms up, trying to rid the remainder of the sleepiness from her body.

She took a moment to glance down at the shorter girl and her outstretched hand. A smile grew onto the nurse's pale lips as she reached down and took the hand, squeezing it gently. It was all going to be okay. The girl looked confident, smiling. Togi huffed in confidently and followed the short, grumpy man into the room he seemed to dwell in, guiding Vashy along beside her.

As they crossed the threshold to the room, Togi was immediately reminded of her disdain for organized education. She was supposed to teach medicine or health or something, but never actually got asked to lead the class. This might actually be her first time entering one of these classrooms since her tour of the campus when she was hired. It just felt... bad. It was too neat and orderly, all the desks lined up in their little rows. The whiteboard had some remnants of teaching left up on it, but it all looked too standardized, like it was written straight out of the book. Sure, she had no memory of actually going through school, and wasn't actually positive if she even finished high school, but this environment surely did not encourage her to do so.

The grumpster... she should probably refer to him by name in her head or she would quickly forget. The Grubester was seated behind his desk, an open folder sitting in front of him. There were three chairs set out on the opposite side of his desk, so Togi moved to take the one on the left, leaving the middle seat for Vashy. "So, uh, what's this meeting about, then?" She nervously smoothed out her coat a little, hoping to appear appropriate for the meeting. Damn, why was she always so nervous in situations like this? Perhaps it was her insecurity as a parent...

The teacher cleared his throat and lifted one of the sheets up a little too high, muffling his already half-grumbled words. "Well, Miss Banashi, young Vashy here has not been reaching academic standards in a couple classes, and it close to the edge in a couple others. The only place she really seems to excel is English." He set the sheet down and stared rather intensely between the two of them. "I do not know if this is out of lack of effort, or some sort of attention issue, but this simply will not do. Do you have anything to say about this, young lady?" His last question was directed towards Vashy.

For a moment Vashy was sure the woman was going to by pass her outstretched hand. Something about having the woman around made her so much more confident. As if she could actually accomplish anything. Given enough time. She was glad that the woman took the lead. Even though she had set foot into this room more times then she could count. Vashy held her head up. Reality hitting her as they entered. Right.. school work. She smiled at the teacher.

This was going to be a hard day. Vashy sat beside Togi. Her fingers lightly tracing the smooth cold metalic surface of the chair brace. It was somewhat soothing. For the time being at least. And now it starts. Vashy half chewed on her lip as she heard the question. She was aware of how badly she was failing... or even just passing most classes. It wasn't that she was not interested. Ok maybe she wasn't interested in everything.. but she still tried. Mr Grumbian's question brought Vashy out of her thoughts. She took a deep breath. Her bottom lip had jutted out in a soft pout. She really did try...she already knew that wasn't a good enough answer though. Her voice was calm and monotone. Practiced from previous conversations. Her eyes stayed fixed for a moment on the teacher. "I do try hard... and I will try harder. Sir. Sometimes it takes longer to understand." Her voice cracked near the end of her sentence. Her fingers wrapped around the seat. Holding it tightly. Her cheeks starting to turn a light shade of pink. She didn't like admitting these things. All that time she spent with the woman making sure she was up to speed with her peers.... it couldn't have been a waste. She didn't want Togi to be disappointed in her either, she owed alot to this woman and making her suffer was not an option. This was not the kind of reunion she was hoping for.

Bad grades? A soft sigh left the woman's lips as she deflated a little. She half-expected this. The only other thing she might've guessed was behavioral issues, but Vashy was better than that. No need to worry. Well... maybe she still had to worry. Bad grades were a bit of a problem. Togi turned her head to glance, a bit worried, to Vashy for her response. The girl gave a response. Togi smiled. She was proud. Vashy had not always been the best at confronting difficult situations, especially socially, but she was standing up for herself, and her mother couldn't be happier.

The blonde returned her glance to the teacher, Mr... crap, she already forgot. Whatever. "Look... sir, she is trying. And I'm not sure if you've read her prior education profile, but she hasn't exactly had the same experiences everyone else has. Vashy's education has been a bit of a process, and before she started back in normal classes I was doing my best to handle it." Damn, this was hard to defend. What could she really say?

But before she could say anymore, the man cut her off. "Well, from the looks of it you did not do such a good job then, hmm?" Togi's heart fell flat in her chest. Her biggest concern was starting to circle back at her. She wasn't a good mother. She wasn't a good teacher. She shouldn't be caring for a child... The woman swallowed away her anxiety, a sad look shining in her plain eyes. "If young Vashy cannot get her grades up soon, there is definite possibility that she will have to attend summer courses to maintain her position within the school. Besides that, another big concern is her practice with her power. If the girl cannot practice a bit with that ability of hers, then she's no place in this institution. Since starting classes she has only marginally improved and is leagues behind the others. Might be best to just seal her up for good and send her off to standard education."

The man's words dug through her. Togi felt that she had failed. The only thing in her life she had taken pride in, the only thing she thought maybe she had done well was immediately stricken away. She could feel her body slump a little in dejection as she reached over and took Vashy's hand again, squeezing it. She needed some sort of out.

The woman was defending her position. What was in her file anyway. Vashy knew the woman did her best to teach her. Her heart sank to her stomach. She was definately failing the woman here. The mans words seemed harsh. The girls brow furrowed. Seal her power ?. That wasn't something she even considered a possibility. Would it really be that bad. She never liked having it.

A gentle squeeze, automatically she squeezed back. Glancing at Togi. There was pain or sorrow in her eyes.... she really did mess up. Without thinking Vashy started to speak. Quickly the words came out, "wait!, that's not fair, Mama Togi did her best, you don't know what she did and I can do better. You can't do that!! " none of this was a solid defence but she didn't want the woman feeling bad. She didn't want her feeling threatoned either. This really wasn't going to go well was it. She was sqeezing the womans hand tighter now. Her eyes fixed on the man. Rock and hard place. She knew she had to respect him. But he couldn't just say that and get away with it.

Vashy fought back. A fire lit in Togi's chest and seemed to melt away all the frozen guilt that had crystallized in her body. She inhaled deeply and gave another gentle squeeze to the girl's hand. If Vashy would fight, she would, too. She just maybe had to rationalize a little. Grey eyes focused on the disgruntled instructor.

"I did what nobody else was ready to do, but we're not here to discuss my ability as a teacher." It still hurt, but she'd manage. She needed to focus right now. "So, Vashy clearly needs a little help to keep up with classwork, yeah? I think we've got more options than expulsion or permanently removing a part of her." Even if it was a part that had only caused the girl trouble. Would it be better just to be without a power? It would take away what made her special... no. There was so much more that made her special. Still, it would be limiting future potential.

Togi straightened her posture a bit and looked to Vashy, then back to the teacher. "We could look into getting her a tutor. Or maybe I could get a little more involved in her school work to keep her focused. Or even--" She was cut off mid-sentence.

"I don't care how you get it done, just make it happen. I'd love to see the little one succeed, but she's got a lot ahead of her in terms of education. And on top of that, some social standards." The man shot a small glare at Vashy for shouting at him, but Togi let it pass. Fighting wasn't going to get anywhere, and the man, though somewhat blunt, did seem to care.

Togi simply gave a nod and moved to stand. "If that's all, then we'll be going. Hopefully the next time we meet it'll be because the situation has improved." The man gave a grunt and nod and closed the folder, sliding it across the desk. The nurse grabbed the document and turned to look at her daughter."Come on, darling, we can talk a little more outside."

Vashy puffed her chest out in protest of the mans statement. It wasn't untrue but the glare was unnecessary. She turned her head away. Her eyes fixed on the wall. Afew of their posters where there. She decided it best to stay quiet at this point. She wasn't good at these sorts ot interactions.  They didn't ask for his opinion on the matter anyway. Hmph. The womans help would be nice..... maybe she could get further if she didn't try to do it herself. But then... wouldn't she just get in the way. She started to chew on her lip again.

Togi stood. Now would be a good time to leave. She turned her head slightly towards the grumpy man. Tentatively glancing to see wether she actually offended him or not. Who could tell really. Before looking up at the woman. She nodded. A brief affirmation. Really words where a hard concept right now. Her eyes flowed to the grey haired man. Giving a small bow and smile. "Thank you... "  she was more then alittle delfated. Well at least they can talk more. And she gets to spend time with the person she adores the most. Taking hold of the taller womans hand swiftly. Almost rushing outside. Anywhere would be better.

With her daughter in hand, Togi turned to the teacher one last time. "Thank you for you for your care. I hope you will continue to teach to the best of your ability." The man gave a simple grunt in response. She flashed a quick smile before heading to the door, opening it and leaving, Vashy in tow. The girl had been so quiet in there, but that wasn't anything new. Vashy tended to have trouble dealing with others she didn't completely trust, or confrontation or... both. Frankly, she was proud Vashy was standing up for herself, that she was being defiant rather than submissive. That was a sign of progress.

Once outside the classroom, Togi paused her movements and took a deep breath before turning to face her daughter with a smile. "That wasn't too bad. Not the nicest guy, but he wants you to do your best, so he can't be too bad." She intentionally tried to avoid remembering the man's rather biting remark about her teaching skills and just focus on the good. Pessimism had only been digging her into a deeper hole these last couple years, so an active change of mindset was practically a must for keeping herself together without Vashy by her side 24/7.

Her tired eyes stayed focused on the shorter girl beside her for a few moments. Togi simply couldn't hold herself back anymore. She leaned down and wrapped her arms tight around Vashy's shoulders, pulling her into a hug. "I missed you so much, baby. I hope you've been doing well without me." She sure as hell wasn't at her tip-top anymore. The emotional impact of being without her beloved child had nearly pulled her all the way back to where she was before. Thankfully, she managed to hang on for just a bit.

Finally. They crossed the threshold. The bland hallway a welcomed oasis. Vashy could relax again. Everything would be ok. Well maybe. The woman paused. Where they going to talk here ?. Vashy tilted her head slightly to the womans words. Examining her movements. Her expressions. Focusing mostly on her eyes. Something seemed off..... what was going through her mind. "I guess so". Yes. Yes. The teacher was actually really concerned and wanted vashy to do better. She supposed with all the talented pupils at the school it would look as though she did not care about her class work. She mused over the womans statement.

The woman seemed to move so fast. Or maybe she was distracted. Her cheeks flushed a dark pink. That familiar pressure. Vashy's eyes shot open wide.  The edges watering. Her arms flung upwards gripping the back of the womans black dress. Fingers tightening, clutching at the fabric. Pulling it down as she tried to hug the woman tighter, as she burried her face into the womans shoulder. She wasn't ok at all. She hated being away. She failed herself and the woman....
" I missed you.... " ,  so many things had happened. She didnt know where to start really. Sure she managed most of lifes responsibilities. Kinda hard to mess up eating and getting dressed. Even being on time. Was it just that to life or more. Her voice was so shaky. Couldnt she at least pretend for awhile she was ok.

Vashy had seemed so quiet today, though she didn't completely understand until the girl reciprocated the hug. Togi could feel the grip, the emotion, the overbearing force of the shorter girl holding her. She pressed her face to Vashy's hair and instinctively took in a deep breath, relaxing at the familiar scent. Her eyes were starting to water a little, but she held it back the best she could.

Gentle fingers trailed along the girl's back for a few moments before Togi could really manage to pull herself together a little. She swallowed hard. "I think... it might be best if we head somewhere else to catch up. We don't wanna make a scene in the middle of the hall, right love?" Her voice did its best to hold back any extraneous emotions. She really wanted to save that for later, when there was a moment of privacy, or something like it.

Regrettably, Togi loosened her grip on Vashy's back and slid away a little before leaning down to press a soft kiss to the girl's cheek. Her hands slid down the girl's arms and took her hands, squeezing them tight before letting going of one and holding the other. Eyes still glassy from her crying close call, Togi turned and started guiding her daughter back down the hall, taking a deep breath to settle the shakiness that had started to develop in her throat. "Do you want to head back to my office... or maybe just somewhere close like the cafeteria? Whatever is comfortable..." She didn't care. So long as they could sit and talk, she would be happy. So long as they could hold each other and just reconnect, she would be happy. So long as she could just be with her daughter, Togi would be happy.

The woman was silent. They both were though. What could she say. She needed more time. She needed help. She just needed her mother... well the woman who took her mothers place. Why couldn't she just be alittle bit braver. The familiar feeling of the womans fingers against her back. She could stay like this forever. Her safe cocoon.

Vashy inhaled slow, yet deep. She needed to remain strong. .. well stronger then she was literally 5 seconds ago. The woman was right after all. They shouldn't be standing in the middle of the hallway like this. A slight sniffle escaping her, taking the womans cue. Now was no time to get overly emotional. They had alot to still talk about. Her grip loosened... arms slipping down to her sides. She looked up at the woman. Pursed lipped. Returning the sqeeze.

The woman was definately upset. Maybe she felt the same way. Or maybe she was still upset about earlier. Vashy nodded at the womans question. Her free hand moving up to wipe away any remnants of liquid near her eyes."... Wherever you want to go ... " , the office... home. She really wasn't sure if she was up for that. Would she even want to leave if she set foot inside again. She held the womans hand firmly. Following her lead. That wasn't really a good answer. The cafeteria was close. But there would be to many people. Vashy chewed on her lip as she went through the motions. Here or there..?. Her grip tightening as she delved further into her thoughts. Her eyes focusing on anything other then the woman. " somewhere quiet. " she was more thinking out loud. The affirmative statement lingered. That would be best. Quiet. Away from anyone...

The halls were relatively empty, though there was definitely the common chatter of students between classes coming from a ways away. This place was just too populated. Togi turned to look to her daughter, who seemed intent on looking away. She huffed in a deep breath and set her mind before pivoting on her heel and guiding the girl back the way she had initially came and treaded carefully, yet quickly, down the stairs.

Though they had already made the reunion, she simply couldn't wait to get to their next location. Being together was wonderful, but being alone together somewhere private... that was something special. And so, the tall woman trailed her daughter along behind her, silently, all the way to the infirmary.

Retrieving the key and unlocking the door felt like the longest moments of her life. This simple wooden construction was the one thing holding her from truly embracing her love, from finally reconnecting after so long. Finally, the obstacle opened and Togi's free hand lifted to pull the door away, allowing her and Vashy to enter.

Not moments after the door closed, she turned and looked down at the shorter girl, her eyes still wet. "Okay, love. We're home... You're home." There was something in that last phrase that seemed to tear down the remaining strength that held back the floodgates. Maybe it was because they were finally alone. Maybe it was because being here with her brought back so many memories. It didn't matter why. Tears started to stream from grey eyes down her cheeks as Togi's lips dissonantly curled up into a smile and her hands moved to grab each of Vashy's and squeeze them tight. "You're finally home."

She followed the womans somewhat hurried pace. Taking in the surrounds as they passed. Where are they going ?. Not a single word uttered. Her grip tightened on the womans hand. What exactly was the woman thinking.... As they got closer Vashy started to smile. She knew where they are going. Vashy took in deep breaths she had to be prepared.

Home... such an unfamiliar feeling. She had gotten used to dorm life. Well. The parts that where solitary . Home. The womans words crushing her, she looked up at the taller woman. Her eyes watered. The woman was crying. The woman hardly cried. Vashy wiftly pulled her hands away and wrapped her arms tightly around the woman. Burying her head in the womans chest. Eyes shut tight as tears flowed freely. Her voice shakey. "Do-on't cry mama. "... be nice if she could take her own advice. Her stomach in knots. Her grip tightened as if she was trying to crush all traces of the tears with her presence .

"Please.. " , no more words could form. There was no way of telling why the woman was so emotional. Of course Vashy's heart sank in her chest. The woman probably felt the same way, she missed her. The womans warmth, her scent. Pressing into the fabric of the womans dress to try and dry her tears. Taking in a deep shaky breath. " I love you. " those words normally worked. She just didn't want the woman upset. Especially not with her. The momentary breakdown subsiding. She needed to be stronger then this. Really.

Watering eyes. A tight hug. Don't cry. She couldn't help but smile wider and return the hug, her tears failing to let up. Togi felt so wonderful, so full of emotions. She couldn't help but let everything out, everything that she had held in these past couple years. "They're tears of joy, darling..." No matter what she said, there was more to what she was feeling. Of course, she was ecstatic to be with her daughter again, but she was also working out how it had felt being without her for so long, and how it might feel after they had to part again.

For now, Togi relished the present. Her hands stroked gently along Vashy's back, feeling every contour of the shorter girl's back, taking it the plush feeling of her body. The girl was taking this just as strongly as she was. Togi swallowed down her emotions and leaned her head down, wiping tears into soft black hair. "I love you, too, baby. I always will." She sniffled in punctuation and relaxed, letting the fluttering in her heart send warm pulses throughout her body.

Just standing and enjoying this touch was nice, this moment was so warm. Despite that, they really were just standing in the entryway. Togi smiled slightly and tilted her head, leaning down further to press a soft kiss to the side of Vashy's head before whispering softly. "Do you wanna come in a little more? We could sit or lay down to be a bit comfier."

She knew that much. Nothing of their experiences together hinted to the woman ever losing the affection towards her. As if that was even possible. Vashy peered up at the woman she so desperatly seeked the most approval from. She smiled wide. This was what Vashy needed. A small giggle escapeing her. "Yeah." Vashy looked around. The same as always. The infirmary never really changed though.

Only due to their adventures did anything new pop up occasionally. Vashy still felt that unease. That sinking yet uplifting feeling. Hugging the woman tightly one last time before slipping away. She was homesick, there was something more though. Moving further, she automatically moved to the bedroom. Twirling her skirt as she always did. "How has everything been ?. " she didn't really want to say the last part.

How have things been... without her. There was alot to talk about. But was now the right time to just dive right in. The sooner it was over the sooner she could just enjoy the moment. Though... if she tried. Vashy shook her head. It was never a good idea to try and hide things. Or avoid them.

The girl accepted the suggestion and hugged her tight before slipping away. Togi took in a deep breath as the hug broke, forcing herself to accept that the girl would remain nearby, that the break of contact was a break of connection. She really was enjoying feeling Vashy's touch again, but it would be okay. It was just a few moments.

The girl traveled towards the bedroom, skirt dancing back and forth. Togi couldn't help but smile before she wiped the last few tears from her cheeks and followed behind, rolling her shoulders back to allow her lab coat to slide down her arms and into her hands. She wanted to be comfortable here.

The question made her think. It wasn't that the response was difficult. The obvious answer was Lonely. But she didn't want to say that. She didn't want the girl to worry, or to feel bad. Togi had to ponder for a few moments to find the right words. "I've... been okay. You know, just getting along like normal, day in, day out." Her smile held for a few moments before wavering. "It's been hard without you, Vashy. Nothing feels right without you around." Her lips drew to a line as she swallowed down the anxiety, fingers playing at the edges of the coat in her hands.

Nothing feels right. Vashy stopped dead in her tracks. She knew the woman missed her. Well she could kind of tell and she felt the same way. Brushing her hair to the side. Tucking it behind her ear as she glanced back at the woman. "Yeah.. nothing feels the same. " it wasn't a question. That needed an answer. Vashy more though out loud.

Spinning around as she forced the biggest smile she could. "But its ok now. Ummn. " it started well. Vashy's stomach rumbled. A soft flush forming as she straightened her posture. Bringing her shoulders back. "Lunch ? ". Smooth. Thats a good segway avoidence was one of Vashy's strong suits.

Placing her hands accross her stomach. As if hugging herself. She was hungry. But it wasn't the end of the world if she did not eat either. Her eyes flicking across the office.
